Telemedicine
Appointments

If you are preparing for a Telehealth appointment, please ensure to have installed the Otto app which can be downloaded on the Apple or Android App Store. You can upload and pictures/videos or add additional messages prior to the appointment. Please click the link above to request a telemedicine appointment.

Here at Cat Care of Fayette, we offer both video and phone calls for telehealth appointments. Photos and/or videos can be uploaded prior to a consultation and provide valuable information in most cases.

After the consultation is complete, a written summary of the visit is provided and added to your pet’s medical record. Any medications prescribed are then dispensed.

The state of Georgia requires a valid veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR) when providing telemedicine to clients, which is defined as having an established patient relationship and having seen that patient within the last one year in order to have sufficient information to initiate a preliminary diagnosis. Client informed consent is also needed to ensure clients understand the limitations of telemedicine and an understanding that in-person consultations are alternatively available.

Looking for a second opinion? Want to review your pet's current state and on-going medical care? Wanting to consider alternative options for your pet's care?

Schedule a 30-40 minute telemedicine call where you will have 1-on-1 time with our veterinarian to review your cat's history, go through an in-depth discussion of health issues or concerns, discuss preventive health measures, and next steps. We can discuss if additional therapies may be warranted such as herbal therapies, diet supplements, or microbiome restoration therapy.

This option includes:

  • 40 minute in-depth conversation on your pet's health and history. It will set us up so that we can do a follow-up for herbal prescription or set up future acupuncture, laser, or FMT therapy without an additional exam.
